Live Streaming Software

Castr.io

GOOD

I used Castr.io when the pandemic first hit in 2020 in order to Live Stream our services. They are worth considering. Eventually upgraded to StreamYard, then to Restream using OBS as a Virtual Camera, which is my current, preferred setup.

StreamYard

BETTER

StreamYard is myHeadline number #1 user friendly Live Streaming Software that I recommend for churches and individuals. If you are looking for the most user friendly, simple, live streaming set up, this is the one for you. The interface is easy to navigate, and it has only taken me little time to teach even the most non-techie person how to succesfully operate a live stream. One of the cons is the audio features are limited in my opinion. You have to set the audio based on a few small circles lighting green. This does not give me enough information to tell exactly where the audio levels are setting. If they were to upgrade the audio feature that would be a great improvment. One can live stream to one location for FREE, in 1280x720p, including a watermark at the top right. To remove the watermark, one must sign up for the next level, and the same to stream in 1920x1080, and to multible destinations.
